The Life of a No Life

The ramblings of a girl named Kelsey.

I’m looking forward to later. I’m watching Captain America: The First Avenger with my Dad. I can’t wait for him to love it! He loved The Avengers, he loves comic books, he loves war films. It’s a perfect match! Plus, I’ve yet to watch it on a proper TV rather than via shady internet backalleys…

Studying abroad! Yay or nay?

So, I’ve been giving some serious thought to whether or not I want to study abroad after I complete my first year of college. The first opportunity I’d have to do it is during the summer after that first year, and the more I think about it, the more I think I want to do it. I believe I’d prefer to start out in Australia or England. Depending on how that goes, I’d like to spend a semester in a foreign speaking country.

While this is all fine and dandy, I’m still a little uncertain. I want to go if money permits, but at the same time, I’m a little frightened by the prospect of it. Still, I also know it’s something I should do, and I know I’d benefit in so many ways from it.

I’m asking for input, guys. Any person that reads this blog, feel free to answer and give some input on both the pros and the cons. Tell me about your experiences, whether you think it’s a great or terrible idea, what you wish you would’ve done or done differently.. anything!

So. Studying abroad. Yay or nay?

God, I want to travel.

See new things, meet new people, experience different cultures! I honestly don’t understand how some people can.. not want that. I understand loving your home, but I don’t - I can’t - imagine the desire to just stick around it for the rest of your life.

I’m not crazy, am I? I seriously hope not because I have a fear of becoming crazy.. no joke. It’s just so exciting to go off to a new country with friends or on your own and.. experience.

Jeez, look at me. xD I’m absolutely giddy right now just imagining it! Where do I want to go? Oh, where don’t I want  to go? France, Ireland, Spain, Italy, Australia, Africa, China, Japan, and so much more!

Naturally, I can barely contain all this.. energy. Alas, as a senior in high school, I don’t have the opportunity to do so. Yet. Mark my words, I will be traveling as often as I can. Assuming I am financially able to do so.

Realistically, that is the only thing that will stop me. Money. It won’t be fear, it won’t be other people, and it certainly won’t be me. Just money.

PEOPLE HIRE ME PLEASE. I NEED TO SEE THE WORLD. Preferably not from the comfort of my own home. Yes, I’m talking to you, movies and internet.

Bored.

Self-prettifying might ensue. Stay tuned to find out.
